COMMENTS
Showing her mastery of lithography, June Wayne uses nineteen colors in State I and twenty in State II. The cosmic energy can no longer be contained in the traveling rectangle. “I was, by this time, making a concerted effort to break out of that rectangle. The two states appear so different from each other, and yet they’re pulled from the same plate, with just one change in color. They feel like siblings.”
—June Wayne, “A Catalogue Raisonné 1936-2006, June Wayne - The Art of Everything” by Robert P. Conway.
