COMMENTS
It was not surprising that June Wayne, whose curiosity reached deeply, that she gave thought to string theory, the idea that reality is made of infinitesimal vibrating strings, smaller than atoms, electrons or quarks. Her close association with physicists Harrison Brown, and Richard Feynman of California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, placed experimentation and theoretical thinking squarely on her plate.

As always Wayne approached her subject poetically rather than literally, providing ample room for our imagination. Written boldly in Wayne's hand on the back of this mixed-media work are the words "Hang in any direction”.
