Lynn A. Bassler’s Terra paintings are infused with an intuitive lyricism and a calligraphic energy relating to the musical elements of repetition and rhythmic line, originating from Bassler’s desire to connect with the energy of the natural world.
Bassler’s work has been exhibited at the La Jolla Museum of Art, Los Angeles Municipal Gallery at Barnsdall Park, Los Angeles Institute of Contemporary Art, Alitash Kebede Gallery, Space Gallery, and many other galleries and museums. She is an active member of Group Nine, nine women artists who have been making and exhibiting their collaborative murals since 1995. She was married to artist Robert C.
