Inuit Prehistoric Drum Handle

$1,000.00

An ancient prehistoric Inuit drum handle. The smooth piece served as a resting place for the shaman's small drum, the edge of the drum attached to the handle and tied with sinew through the hole. The piece fits neatly in the hand and allows the drum to be leveraged and moved easily. The shaman's drum was a unique and powerful instrument in the closed spaces of ice houses.
